The Godly Father!

Father's Day is on Sunday, June 20, 2010. The Wikipedia definition of Father's Day is a "secular celebration inaugurated in the early twentieth century to complement Mother's Day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting, and to honor and commemorate father's and forefathers."

Sunday, April 25, 2010; Harassed, But Hopeful

Matthew 5:10-12 (NIV)
10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  11Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Peacemaker or Peacekeeper? Sunday, April 18, 2010

Blessed are the peacemakers,  for they will be called sons of God. (Matt 5:9, NIV)

A peacemaker builds their character on truth and righteousness. We can create true peace if we are at peace with God. Peacemakers are also those who try to make peace even if they fail.

The Pure In Heart (Sunday's Sermon April 11, 2010)

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Matt. 5:8, NIV)
